Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness | House of Blues, Dallas
Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and New Politics are currently co-headlining the Wilderness Politics Tour, presented by Journeys. On Halloween, this tour came through Dallas. This was the first time I'd photographed (or even been to) a Halloween show, and it was a total blast!
We had Andrew McMahon as Elton John, bassist Mike Wagner as a giant foot, keyboardist Zac Clark as "Glow in the Clark," and drummer Jay McMillan as a cowboy. The AMitW guys were joined by their friends in New Politics at the end of the set to help them with an old Jack's Mannequin hit, "La La Lie."
I also had the chance to spend some time with both bands before the show - click here to check out my backstage blog!
Behind the Scenes of The Wilderness Politics Tour | House of Blues, Dallas
Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and New Politics have teamed up this fall to co-headline the Wilderness Politics Tour, presented by Journeys. This North American tour began mid-October and runs through the end of November.
On Halloween, this tour came to Dallas. Of the 100+ shows I have attended and photographed over the past 5 years, this was the first one that fell on Halloween! It made for some extra laughs to see the guys all in costume - Elton John, a giant foot, and Disney princess Belle, to name a few.
I had the chance to spend some time backstage with Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness before their set to take some behind-the-scenes photos. I've blogged a few of my favorites below. Enjoy!
Hanson | House of Blues, Dallas
Hanson was the first band I got into as a kid - their album Middle of Nowhere ended up in my hands when I was in the 3rd grade, and I've been a huge fan ever since. This weekend, I had the honor of photographing their two-night show in Dallas at the House of Blues. It was so surreal to be standing in front of the band that first got me into music. Below is my review of the Roots & Rock 'N' Roll Tour, followed by some photos from both Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 - enjoy!
Tigers Jaw | Gas Monkey Live, Dallas
Support on New Found Glory and Yellowcard's co-headlining tour is Tigers Jaw. Tigers Jaw is a band out of Pennsylvania that I had heard a lot of great things about, but never gotten the chance to see. They definitely did not disappoint!
These photos are from the Gas Monkey Live Dallas tour stop on October 10.

Men's Soccer | SMU vs. Tulsa
Southern Methodist University vs. Tulsa • October 21, 2015 • Westcott Field • Dallas, Texas
This was my last time photographing SMU men's soccer this season - it was so exciting to photograph this No. 12 ranked team all year long!
