Downtown | San Diego

My first day in San Diego last week we went by Petco Park - where the Padres play - and through the Gaslamp District in downtown San Diego. I had never been to downtown San Diego before, so I couldn't stop taking photos! I especially enjoyed the bridge leading to the baseball stadium and the sculptures we passed by before the bridge.

Later that night, we went by Mt. Soledad and I took a panorama of the gorgeous city lights.

Kylie, Katharine, Adam and Jesse | 2014 Graduates

Last week, I had a fun shoot with four friends who all graduated from UCLA this month - Kylie, Katharine, Adam and Jesse. The four are all swimmers who work together at the pool at UCLA. I had a great time photographing them around the gorgeous campus, and ending the shoot with a school tradition of popping champagne in the fountain!

Del Mar Fair | The Fab Fair 2014

This year, I visited the Del Mar Fair in San Diego for the first time. The theme was "The Fab Fair" - in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles coming to the United States for the first time. My boyfriend and I are huge Beatles fans, so we enjoyed all the Beatles stuff along with the usual fair attractions!

Kristi | 2014 Graduate

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of taking senior portraits for my good friend Kristi. Kristi and I have been roommates for the past two years, and went through the photo program at Sac State together. Because I've been taking portraits of her both for class and for fun since sophomore year, I was beyond excited when she asked me to take her senior portraits. We shot just before sunset in the university's arboretum, and I'm so happy with the results. Congratulations to Kristi on graduating this spring with her BA in Photography!

Twenty One Pilots | Ace of Spades, Sacramento

Twenty One Pilots has been one of my favorite bands for the past few years. Last spring I photographed them twice - they played on my college campus, and then at Live 105's BFD Festival. Since then, they've soared in popularity - getting radio play, showing up on TV, and selling out shows. I'm happy to see how far they've come.

Sunday, I photographed their sold out show at Ace of Spades. Their production has become absolutely ridiculous - it was always incredible to see them perform, but now it's been taken to a whole new level. Between their amazing stage presence and the elaborate lights, it's definitely a fantastic experience to see them live.
