Dodgers vs. Padres @ Dodger Stadium | August '14

On Tuesday, Curtis came up to Los Angeles and we went to watch our baseball teams, the Dodgers and the Padres, battle it out once again.

On our way to Dodger Stadium, we made a stop at Philippe's - a delicious and historic french dip place on Alameda Street. My family and I always go there to eat dinner before Dodger games, so I had to let my boyfriend in on the tradition so he could finally try the best roast beef sandwich around.

For this baseball game, we decided to go cheaper and get some upper deck tickets. We found some that were front row and center, which we knew would be an awesome opportunity for photos, with no one blocking our view.

I took some photos of the game with my telephoto lens, as well as making a panoramic image of the gorgeous stadium.

The Front Bottoms | Glass House Pomona

The Front Bottoms are a band from New Jersey that I discovered last year while visiting a friend in Philadelphia. I've been obsessed with them ever since. They're currently wrapping up a tour with Say Anything, so I had to go see them when they played the Glass House in Pomona on Friday. The band is comprised of vocalist and guitarist Brian Sella and drummer Matt Uychich, and touring members to fill in bass, keys, and trumpet. Check out a few of my images from their set below, and click here to view the full set on Flickr.

Andrew McMahon | The Viper Room, West Hollywood

On July 9, Andrew McMahon (formerly of Jack’s Mannequin and Something Corporate) played a small gig at the Viper Room, a tiny 21+ venue on Sunset Strip, before taking off on his summer tour. Joining Andrew on stage were former Jack’s Mannequin band members, Mikey Wagner and Jay McMillan, and current touring member Zac Clark.

Andrew McMahon is an artist I've listened to since I saw Something Corporate's video for their song "Space" on TV when I was 12 or so. Since then, I've been a huge fan of Something Corporate; Andrew's next band, Jack's Mannequin; and his recent solo work. He is such an enthusiastic performer and the most gracious and humble musician you will ever meet.

A new song called "Cecilia and the Satellite" was premiered at this show, which you can check out of at the bottom of this blog post. Andrew wrote for this song for his daughter Cecilia who was born earlier this year to his wife, Kelly.

Here is the video of "Cecilia and the Satellite" - click HD and enjoy!
