Motion City Soundtrack | House of Blues, Anaheim

Motion City Soundtrack is celebrating 10 years since the release of their album Commit This to Memory with an anniversary tour this winter. I caught them along with Hellogoodbye and Driver Friendly on Thursday night at the House of Blues Anaheim, where they played to a sold out crowd.

Nixon | January '15

Meet Nixon! He's a three-month-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and I fell in love.

Anthony Green | House of Blues, Anaheim

Anthony Green headlined a week-long run through the West Coast in January with I Can Make a Mess (Ace Enders of The Early November), Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties (Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years) and Elder Brother. Green, Enders, and Campbell all played acoustic this tour, with no backing band members. I had the privilege to catch a show at the House of Blues, Anaheim, on Jan. 18.

I Can Make a Mess | House of Blues, Anaheim

I Can Make a Mess is one of the projects of The Early November's frontman Ace Enders. I've been a big fan of Ace since I first heard The Early November, so it's always fantastic to get to see him perform in any band he is in. This time, I Can Make a Mess was on a short tour with Anthony Green (Circa Survive, Saosin), Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties (Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years) and Elder Brother.

Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties | House of Blues, Anaheim

Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties is the latest project from Dan "Soupy" Campbell, the frontman of band The Wonder Years. He describes it as a "character study," and as an acoustic band, is much different from the pop-punk his fans are used to hearing from him. Campbell put on an impressive set as a solo act this month when he played a week of shows along the West Coast with Anthony Green (Circa Survive, Saosin), I Can Make a Mess (Ace Enders of The Early November) and Elder Brother.
