Miyan and Dekel’s second baby boy is due in a month, and I had the pleasure of working with this sweet family again! We met at sunrise at White Rock Lake; I’m generally a fan of sunset shoots, but with this Texas summer heat, we opted to wake up bright and early to take advantage of the cooler morning weather. Just under two years ago, I photographed their first maternity session, followed up by a newborn shoot of their beautiful baby, Atlas. This maternity session was so fun to not only document their second pregnancy, but also to see Atlas so grown up! He’ll be 2 years old in a few months, and will be big brother so soon. Congratulations, Miyan and Dekel!

Visiting the deer in Nara was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Deer pretty much run the place - they are absolutely everywhere! Being the huge animal lover I am, I was living for it.
Hanging out with one of many beautiful, sweet deer I met! Some of them just loved to be pet.
Japan has the CUTEST food - that’s a pastry with a deer on it!
