Nara Park
Visiting the deer in Nara was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Deer pretty much run the place - they are absolutely everywhere! Being the huge animal lover I am, I was living for it.
Hanging out with one of many beautiful, sweet deer I met! Some of them just loved to be pet.
Japan has the CUTEST food - that’s a pastry with a deer on it!

Castel Sant'Angelo | Rome, Italy
Castel Sant'Angelo is a gorgeous castle in Rome that was built in the 130s AD. I was intrigued by the castle by its exterior appearance, but had no idea what beauty was inside! I was in awe of the spectacular artwork in the castle - it was breathtaking! I also enjoyed some great panoramic views of the city from the height of the castle. A very belated blog post - my first State Fair of Texas!
Dealey Plaza | Dallas, TX
Dealey Plaza in Dallas is the home of the "grassy knoll," where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. I spent some time at the intersection of Elm and Houston Streets, photographing this historical spot. Lee Harvey Oswald fired his rifle from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository building, which is now known as the Dallas County Administration Building.
Road Trip | Los Angeles to Dallas
As some of you may already know, I have relocated to Dallas and will be living here for at least one year. At the beginning of July, Curtis and I packed up our stuff and made the 1,423 mile trek. We drove for two full days, passing through Arizona, New Mexico, and finally reaching Texas. Here is a blog post of some photos from the road. All but a handful of images were taken from the car on Highway 10.
